Bull markets end when a new president enters the white house.
How much higher do you think IV on CL options will go if we bottom out around 35-38. I to have been nibbling on the long side and selling calls along the way. The strength of the dollar is kind of freaking me out can oil mount any kind of comeback with a dollar this strong?
I am not concerned with IV when I use options as hedge for futures positions I put on, and I been long the Dollar since early 2011 and have added on few times. although my normal long term method only uses last nine years of data and usually start selling like the dollar, it is long over due for the dollar to go much higher, so am using the 25 year charts and we just 50% from highs of 2001, so I am holding for more. I have no idea where lows of anything will happen, extremes in markets are for chit chat at the water cooler, I don't believe in fundamentals nor cost of production either as something is worth less when we believe it over priced, eventually what we believe someone is worth is more and market rises. There will always be something else to buy or sell or combinations thereof.
Well came back to admit i was wrong, ended up making a bit on the trade anyways because i got long metals at a good price, blew the rest of everything off today, bull market looks like it will remain in tact.
Blew the chance to pick up alot of good longs at good prices, so its opportunity cost more than anything.

This market doesn't know which way to go. One day its headed back above 18k the next day it looks like the beginning of bear market....
I still think the 200 day moving average of 1972 is coming. That's a good 5% drop from here...if that doesn't hold October lows are coming fast....im ready fir the drop with plenty of shares of tvix with a cost average at a little over $3...will add more under $2.50
Tonite its up to apple to show gains which it looks like it is...trading above $115.

•BioTech sector was also strong.
Probably, big caps in the DOW 30 might have gone a bit too fast
indexes in the Euro zone DAX, CAC, FTSY have acted strong.

It's looking very toppy to me but I'm with Peter Schiff,they'll start QE4 if it goes down more than a few thousand points.
Man, because of one day, you can say if market is still bull or not?
Seriously, you better get a larger view of the market if you want to survive.
Perhaps it is the top, perhaps it will rebound strongly and make new all time highs.
Who cares? The goal is to make money.
What is sure : as of today, I just want to short everything except US bonds.
I don't care Apple is selling iphone 7 mega or 8 ++ to Chinese or Qatari or anyone who got money to waste. Tim Cook will be Cooked, be sure of that! Everybody can't be Steve Jobs!
Moreover, market is overextended and ready to collapse.
See your US Small Caps ? Really strong ? Well IMO, RTY is drawing a head & shoulders combined with a descending triangle. Sure a nice "bull pattern".
RSI is really really strong? 54 !!! Buyers are not here anymore, pros left the boat, only individuals still believe RTY is strong !
And if we go below 1150, what will happen ? Surprise ! Back to the lows!
Remember that if you don't sell, you cannot buy the dips.
