Is Texas the best state in which to live?

Quote from BSAM:
Can someone explain a little about the good qualities of Portland? I have never been there, but it seems to be popular with many. What's the tax situation like? State income tax, car registration, property tax, etc. Also, I believe it rains a lot there, no?

Believe it or not, it rains more in Portland than in Seattle. Yet, Portland has more sunny days than Seattle.

How is that possible? Seattle has more cloudy days.

Jem...

You are one lucky man. If you ever have to leave just move up to San Luis Obispo. Really good in that area.

thanks for the advice ... I need to have a fall back. Right now I figure I can make what I need to make for the next few years... But I am concerned about 5 years out.

I have to laugh at some of these comments about Texas. Every state has it's negatives, of course. Speaking as an outsider, Texas honeys are the best hands down. Obviously, it is a secret to some on this board.........lol.

Texas used to be great for women, especially in my neck of the woods here in west texas in Lubbock, for years the hidden honey spot of the south. But those days are long gone, still good looking girls but 20 to 30 pounds of lard on their asses now, some fine ones of course but too many chubbies. Unless you love going to church or the bars on the weekends, I wouldn't recommend small town west Texas.

My son was at Texas Tech only a week when he called me and said, "Dad! There's nothing to do here but drink and fuck!" So he went with the flow and got a part-time job bouncing drunks at a strip joint.
