yes one you trade stocks the other foreign currency vs USD or EUR or GBP

Stock markets typically go up because economies typically grow.

Currencies typically go down because of inflation. However, the trade is relative.

One big difference\ many of Jack Schwager top traders did stocks; few did forex ,much less\ specialized in it.
Maybe some opportunities anywhere, but unless you are tryin' to lose a billion i would look @ more than forex\especially if you dont want to lose a billion.

Both forex and stock trading rely on the same principles for success. The assets traded are different. In forex trading currencies are traded in pairs whereas in the latter stocks are traded. Stocks can also be traded via CFDs.
