Is price movement really random and unpredictable?

How accurately can you predict the next bar or candle?

1 tick trading is a waste of time mirage.
You'll need to automate it. And from what's been said, VST does use an algo. So no problem. But manually trading it...

If a persons scalps for 1 tick then they can do that multiple times on one 5 min bar. There are 81 five min bars in the day session. Scalp each 5m bar multiple times. But at the end of the day you will become nauseated to look at the commissions you pd and your broker will be eating ribeye instead of a burrito at taco bell!

I am talking about any penny pickup trading in the financial markets, being it options , equities, etc.
What if you can pick up pennies scalping but also try to catch a breakout or run? There is nothing to prevent you from doing it in day trading. Isn't that what VST and we all are trying to do?

However, it is hard enough making a discretional decision, much harder to do it with algo?

VST has all kinds of Strategy Performance Reposts that any TradeStation user can generate. For someone who is doing what he claims he is doing, why bother with trolling for chat room users?

If you’re not doing HFT why try to pick up pennies? I used to pick up pennies in front of a train and 99% of time I eventually got run over with a handful of pennies. All the pennies are lost and more with one run over. I know the “free” pennies are very tempting. Being there done that.

You have to think big in trading. Otherwise, there’s no point at all. If you cannot cultivate an edge for big wins you’ll never make it in trading as a retail discretionary trader.

Hello schizo,

Thank you for the link.

I reviewed your link and post you thought was valuable to YOU as trader.

I do not think anything in the link you posted was valuable to ME as a trader.

Here is a link on ET that I know is valuable to ME as a trader.

https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...thread-mark-fisher.377419/page-2#post-5902585

As I said before, this is an ET forum website who knows what value means and good and bad advice. And most importantly who cares. Let people post whatever the way to post. If you do not like it, carry on.
That was a nice run buddy, with this kind of rate of return, have you reached million profit from trading yet.
