Is price movement really random and unpredictable?

How accurately can you predict the next bar or candle?

I'm retail as well, but smart enough to know that what he shows is fantasy. There is a reason why he is on ET and why he sells algos. Would you waste your time here if you had his results?
Good to know another serious retail on ET.

Best wishes for the new year.

The problem is this. When the trade supposedly works, you count up the profits. But when it doesn't work, the platform marks you as getting out at break-even or +1 tick. In real life it never works like this. Look at all your trades. I'm sure most have gone at least a bit into profit, so in fantasy land, you can book that tiny profit or at least not let it turn into a loss.
Wait, don't tell me you bought the algo? o_O

God no. But when we spoke, he did a "soft sell" by telling me he needs to go soon to pick up some money from his clients. I guess that makes a trader think that if other people are paying for it, it must be good!
After staring at the charts again and again for the last two days, I have some idea to try out and will do some real time paper trades tomorrow.

Note: I am not trying out his method, just that the charts triggered in my mind some ideas on tight loss control and let profits run and I am modifying the way I day trade to see if it helps.

If you are risking 10% that is your SL.

Any timeframe to reach target?

Allow me to clarify what I meant - My entry amount 10% of my account
If the price goes against me by 10x, that might trigger the Stopout Level, but I don't think it will go that far. Max 3x, maybe
What I mean is I entered just 10% of the account

Ok I understand, although risk is whether a trade loses or not - never a dollar amount.

"Pick up some money..."???

Who's doing that these days?

Like the guy is receiving cash money for his algo?
