I am Latino, and nobody investigates thoroughly, they only look for fast money based on promises and absurd dreams (sells courses and promises of 500% earnings).
I only collect information, since that sect is dangerous.

More interestingly, this occurs in scams like MLMs as well. Latino communities are targeted because in general they are more closely knit than average. This causes the "miracle cure" diatribe to travel faster than usual, and therefore increase profits for the guys at the top. Double it if the guy peddling the crap is Latino himself.

Herbalife recently went down for this type of targeting. It's insidious.

Oliver Velez is in Colombia selling his courses and academy, and claims to be a legend in the United States to the point that he is recognized on Wall Street. He says "In my beginnings I learned trading, I was rejected by Wall Street, but some time later, Wall Street agents looked for me to teach them."

As far as I know, he is not recognized, much less legend, if so, he would be in FORBES at least.

How do I verify this information and end this fallacy?

Anyone who gives money and does not investigate thoroughly deserves what they get. The original poster seems to be stuck on latinos and thinks they cannot think for themselves. I am missing why being latino is an important piece of this story.
