in light of the unemployment situation in the US, what else would you expect, or ask for other than an increase in welfare recipients? When you have the pent up desires the Democrats had after 8 years of Bush and they got a super majority in the Senate, a majority in the House and the most liberal President in ages they (all of them) are going to be pushing basically the same agenda. They are going to get things done that they want. But to describe Obama as being connected and as a good leader is a mischaracterization. He is not.

He is very detached to the reality of the nation and merely pushes his agenda to Congress and his appointees to implement. He is in reality a weak and ineffectual President and person. His attributes are that he is black, sounds like a white person and is good at speeches. That and the fact that liberals were furious with Bush and the financial crisis happened one month before the election are the only reasons he is where he is now.

He is not liberal,far from it.

The Presidency wasn't handed to him,he beat the biggest political machine in the country to get the democratic nomination and overcame many obstacles that would have sunk most political candidates

Being black wasn't an attribute imo

Many presidents push their agenda,but how many of them get as much of their agenda passed as Obama has ?

We've been through harder times without 99 weeks of unemployment which BTW only made it worse because greater unemployment benefits cause higher unemployment and cause people to search longer. You're the one looking through colored glasses. People aren't entitled to live pain free lives and socialism doesn't work.
