The Bond books are about machismo, alpha cool, and were little read before JFK mentioned them as a favorite. The main template for Bond was a true life Canadian. A larger than life alpha male,William Stephenson. “James Bond is a highly romanticised version of a true spy,” Fleming wrote. “The real thing ... is William Stephenson.”

And yes, he was a very savvy businessman and market player. In fact he was indeed rich in friends, relationships, worldly knowlege and money. All in, about as cool as it gets in terms of what influenced and really made the world go around in his day.

IMO this kind of marketing only devalues the products for the potential clientele.
Really, do you want the spend $500k on an Aston Martin after it's been labeled "James Bond's car"? Personally I think it's pretty lame.
 
James Bond is always dressed stylish. But in the real world, when he does his action scenes in $5000 suits, they dress him in different suits that have different give in order for him not to destroy it while running or extending his arm.

I think that with today's advanced materials and AI-technology, clothes should be adaptable based on the requirements of what you are doing. Just like magnetic shocks are able to stiffen or loosen seven times a second when cornering a sports car, a $5000 suit should have a tiny computer monitoring your movements and adjusting the give in the back of the suit and the knees and waist/seat on the pants. If you are sitting, it should adjust the suit one way. If you are walking, another. If you are using your arms, another still. And so on.

And, your shoes should also be smart. If you are running on dirt, spikes should come out. If on concrete, anti-slip rubber, and so on.

I am surprised Q hasn't come up with this yet.

The Jaguar is better looking. But the Aston-Martin is definitely more JB. Toned down elegance. Very much my taste.

As for shoes, whereas Batman has a utility belt, consider the storage potential in the soles of this guy's platforms.
 
What I want is the look and feel of wool, with the adaptability of polyester. A genetic engineered suit.

Q should make James Bond suits out of Graphene. He wouldn't need to wear a bullet proof vest.
