Is it true that demand and supply analysis doesn't apply to forex?

My husband and I paid thousands to OTA and what did we get? A place that taught us to identify nothing more than price imbalances. I am ashamed to say we spent over 35 grand. We were new to trading and green when it came to the cons who sell their "trading" services.

Lot of money. I'm sure you learned more about the markets than just price imbalances but probably not so much as to justify the costs. But it was a mistake rooted in logic and good experience. We have all of us absorbed the way to become really good at jobs, professions, careers, specialisms, academic subjects etc. etc. in the "conventional" areas of life. And that is by knowing more and more about the subject. Generally in most professional pathways, the people who know the most are the most successful and the best rewarded. Unless you already knew that trading is not like that, it would have been unusual to the point of deliberate eccentricity to avoid a learning programme such as OTA's at the outset.

Its sad these things go on in the world but novice traders will always demand such courses at square one.

supply demand applies to goods & services, not currencies

I doubt you can get spot forex volume as there are numerous OTC markets all over the world.

I trade currency futures and that's where I can get the volume from the exchanges like CME.
my chart is volume based, not time based.
Hi,
may I ask you one question?!
The forex daily volume averages between 2 to 5 trillion dollar each day.
The future volume you subscribe to, is a very small part of all this.
So, how can you use volume analysis here, as the price of currencies is being influenced by all volume and tradea, especially OTC spot...?!

Forex market actually IS an OTC market. Like in every other market supply and demand plays important role. However, there are also other important but complex factors which influence market sentiment and demand for one currency

One of those complex factors involves manipulation by the banks and other financial institutions.

I believe supply and demand is effective in forex. Im not an economist and would fail horribly if I tried to trade fundamentally. However if you keep SD simple and understand how the orders build bar to bar and where they fail and how this becomes a flip zone you will do very well in forex or any other financial instrument you choose

Not correct bro! If you can find a way to measure the influx and outflux of the fx market, you'll see it has a great impact on prices.

I wouldn't argue about our differences or try to influence you.
absolutely no problem if we have very different thinking and very different way of day trading currency futures/ spot forex.

bottom line is make sure we earn $$$
