Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4K account in YM ??

To the original poster.

What this thread does (unintionally) is seperate the people on the board who know who to trade the e-mnis from those who don't.

Yes, it is possible to average $50 or more per day with a base of 4k if you actually know how to trade the YM e-mini.

Not is is not possible if you don't.

You aren't going to get a better answer from this group.

There's actually a much better and simplier process for determining whether this is possible.

Keep a Journal showing the progress of someone who is actually doing it. This way at least someone could learn something from the process, as it sounds like a lot of people are desperately in need of an education here.

The thing about a journal is that it would be easy to fake/lie about the results (especially small differences in entry and exit points due to the time it takes to post) and of course if it goes against the person they can just quit at any time.

I suspect with $100k on the line the style of trading would be quite a bit different then you would get if the only thing being risked was someone's ET ego.

Yes it's possible to make $50 a day with 4k,just as it is possible to make $500 a day with 40k.Even if he blew his 4k so what?In trading it's not a lot of money and the experience would be invaluable.At least he's not asking if he could make 1k a day with a 10k account which a lot of people try to do.

Assuming you have some proven profitable method of trading and risk management, $60 a day trading the YM with a 4k account is not only possible, it's relatively conservative... it's only 1.5% portfolio value! With YM, it's attainable with 1 lot trades! 12pt NET per day.

No offense SarahG, but QT is one of the top softwares currently on the market for the small retail trader. It's hard to beat for cost effective management of futures (I gave up stocks a long time ago hon) and creating customized charting solutions that are helping me to more than meet the OP's question of "Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4k account in YM??".

Not for nothing I tried to assist you with a trading question, and met a similar response to what I've received on this thread, outright disbelief, anger and hostility at what I was proposing.

Shrug, it don't cost me nothing to try to assit other traders and give back when I've got so much going my way.

Good trading (which if you do, you'll make that paltry $50=10pts YM easily)
