Is it possible to execute an order during the weekend

Yesterday it was late and I checked MSFT after hours there was still some trading, when it does ceases completly?

Arca and Island end at 8PM. Arca also has a cross at 8:01.

trading should cease at 8 :00 p.m [1:00 UK] every day, fridays included .. my quotes go blank at that time

what prevents the ECNs from keep running(and charge higher fees) so people can trade during the weekend?regulation?economics?

Is order information disseminated for the cross or is it blind? I had no idea they had a cross then.

I'm pretty sure it's disseminated (I think that's required). And I did a bit of research as I've never used it-- it's actually a porfolio cross at 8:01:
