Yes. Support and resistance has always worked because its based on the current psychology of the traders collectively. In effect automatically adjusting to changing market conditions. That being said nothing works 100 percent of the time. Nothing can account for surprise variables like a world leader giving an unscheduled speech or making a comment that moves the markets.
