Is It over For the U.S. - The Ecstasy of Empire

Quote from piezoe:

I'll guess, and you tell me if I am right. The old fashioned way by monopoly, cheap labor, and screwing people. The modern way is via political contribution and lobbying for legislation that will help you gain a monopoly, assure cheap labor, and make it easy to screw people.

Am I right?
It's your reality, and your choice. Only you can say what's right for you.
Your pitiful scenario isn't right for me.

Quote from Scataphagos:

No, I didn't. I only asked the question, "how can we not?" It's one of the facilitators, but doing so complicates our relationship with China... upon whom we are dependent to keep buying our debt to support our stupid "borrow and spend" lifestyle.

youre trying to argue with zdreg???

might as well run full speed into a brick wall

the wall will give a bit more and is probably better informed

US companies face a “logistical nightmare” from a new rule forcing them to disclose the ratio between their chief executive’s pay package and that of the typical employee, lawyers have warned

Quote from trade4succes:

I give the US a good chance for a strong rebound, if they would legalize all drugs. What a waste of billions and billions of money, effort and millions of people, with 0 results. The rest is peanuts, except maybe abolishment of income adn corporate tax in favor of the 25% fed. sales tax.

That one thing wouldn't do it of course, but your point is well taken. A friend of mine, the economist Joseph Vogel, says we know the solutions to nearly every problem, but our nature prevents us from acting on them. IMO there is great truth in that.

According to Malcolm Muggeridge Human nature consists of vanity, greed, and instinct; those qualities explain what we do; how we act.

Quote from zdreg:

the answer with the exception of Chile is they produce goods with a high technological content that the chinese are incapable of producing.

However that is only a temporary condition.

“Stupid is what stupid does”.
The American people’s alien/psychopathic rulers need all the misery they can muster to get fed properly.

It’s amazing nobody seems to b able to see through all the smoke and mirrors.

Stupid wars are fought by stupid slaves being fed stupid lies and needing stupid jobs. Money for killing each other-how sweet the misery dinner table must be for those in control.

There's no got damn Tipping Point. Empire---GLORY.
Empire will seize according to Destiny what is not owed to it.
