Tolerated? Wow, you're as ignorant as they come on this issue. West was CELEBRATED amongst the Tea Party long before he was elected to congress. Tolerated? Maybe in your lefty fantasy, to reinforce your notions of victimology and racism conspiracies.

Funny how some white people get together for a tax protest and people are making baseless charges about "racism" for years on end. Further, any criticism of Obama was met with charges of "racism" for years, and still is sometimes! Yet, an attempt is made at a black congressman's LIFE, and the left is silent- NO claims of "racism", no ugly crack whore Garafalo ranting on TV, no black panthers in the streets, no one on the left gives a good god damn. This incident just goes to show you how morally bankrupt the left is, and the degree to which they exploit the issue of race and "oppression" to use as a political weapon. It's disgusting and pathetic, and it carries the seeds of their demise. The Tea Party, is a segment of the conservative segment of the GOP, in other words, a small group of people. When the mainstream GOP puts a senator in Congress then you might have a point. The Tea Party has already seen the immense power they have when it comes to actually changing the way Washington does things.
