is it just me or are we back where we started before the fiscal stimulus

In the past we could motivate investment via the tax code but the gov't needs all the money it can appropiate so I think this option is out.

Maybe Obama is hoping for a bubble with health care or green.

there are other problems too. they can no longer control aggregate demand if either it rises or falls they cannot rise interest rates without creating further recession and they cannot rise taxes too much without riots. and like i said earlier they cannot provide savers with a decent return.
 
It's just you. We are worse off.

As far as the stock market anyone who looks at it as a guage of economic health or future predictor of growth is a damn fool!
