Yes all indicators work. If they didn't work they wouldn't indicate anything would they?

They work on all time frames and tell you everything you need to know. You can have two candle stick patterns that are exactly the same but the indicators tell you to expect different results.

Indicators are wonderful things. Everything can be improved with an indicator - space craft, jets, tanks, guns, cars and even charts. All it takes is some blood, sweat, tears and time to get the real juice out of 'em.

Indicators can anticipate chop, trade through chop, spot trends before they develop, catch tops and bottoms, help you hold on to a winning trade, tell you if a counter trend scalp is worth while and if you are with the trend or counter.

Nothing can delve into context like an indicator can. You fly better with 'em and you can trade better with "em.

Next someone will want the golden goose for free :)

Indicators do work on the longer time frame , but you gotta know how to use them.

This custom indicator is a multitime frame indicator using a combination of trend lines, price action ,price ,stochastics on 15 min,30 min ,1 hour and 4 hours.

I can see everything on one indicator .It is pretty useful. When indicator is moving up I am long and when it is moving down I am short.

These cost around $500 to code.

Trying t osee the value in it, could you explain- thanks!

Seeing as indicators are just a way to filter price, they have to work -- if price action works. The question is whether the historical data of a single instrument can predict its future.

There are many "indicators" that are useful, but not necessarily those that are based on the price of the instrument one is trading, or maybe even price at all.

It is not about trying to predict the future , it is about filtering out "when not to be in the market" , even when the set up is showing entry.A good indicator has some context/confluence in one small window.

Ideally one wants to put other info on indicator , like other inter market info or biases based on interest rate expectations or earnings expectations , or other correlated indices.

It was my own site , never made any indicators to sell , just for my own use.

I made this indicator last week and it helps new traders by avoiding getting in the market without consensus of market.

I compared it with many standard indicators ,it is much nicer than all free indicators..

Bcuz at any moment in time, your brain processes information about what its seeing( like on a trading screen) you have a certain part of the brain called the frontal temporal lobe(ever heard of it?) which at its own discretion can inject emotional/impulsive signals thru out your brain which may cloud your response to what you're seeing on the screen, thus potentially interfering with your intent to think purely mechanically when pondering a physical response( buy or sell or not trade at all).

Indicators, when used properly, give you that " purely non emotional, purely mechanical second opinion" on what price is doing.

I discussed trading and mechanical thinking processing with my brother in law for hours during Xmas, he is a renowned neurologist and head of neurology at U of Kansas City Medical Center.

Good answer.

I will also add by saying again that indicators are like the information you see on the dashboard of a car.

You could drive well without these information. You don't need an speedometer. You don't need a fuel gauge.

But it helps to have these indicators.
