These two opinions seem at odds with each other. I'm inclined to agree with the first one.

Modern man has been subverting natural selection/survival of the fittest for decades now. The results are not good.

as far as evolution is concerned, those who breed the most breeders are the most successful.

people who can only lead cozy lives (save the money for themselves, not spend it on their own kids) are simply not evolutionary fit. but they do attain high status in our society.

When the breeding has been made possible by welfare, the breeding produces more lazy and stupid lowlifes for the welfare system. You "thinking" that's successful doesn't surprise me.
