Is Intrade legit?

I know they are legit, but their bets are too hard for me to predict. Obama versus Romney, 50-50. How do you bet this with positive expectancy???? its a casino!!!!
 
No, it's a market in which you are allowed to provide liquidity. At a casino, you cannot add liquidity. HUGE difference.

Intrade is a binary option market. You make 100 or 0. Of course you can sell/buy your shares back before the event.

It's a true market, in which the bids and offers are actually customer orders. There are no main MM's per se....the customers are.
 
I use Intrade, it's allot of fun. The best part is you can show a verlierer who was at your college 8 years ago that you spent $10,000 betting someone would win an election.
