the size of the move is normalized by the bid ask and the globalist volumes etc in the rankings. often the best sort is not the exotic frontier but a liquid frontier which has temporarily gone awol.

it did go from 105 to 108 though even the globalist has to admit that and there was shall we say boj buying below 105 originally although not for long
 
I think that SNB started intervening in the forex market since the 2008 financial crisis. It seems like that they are trying to keep their currency not as strong as it can really be. They know that it would not do any good to their economy, so CB is doing their job
