Is IB giving free data now?

My wife just funded an account, it never asked her to subscribe to any data, it shows she has no subscriptions, but yet she has CME and stock data? Never seen this before, is this something new they do?

Ah, that's probably it. I don't remember even getting delayed data for free from them though.

Delayed go into account management and subscribe from there, dirt cheap for non-professional.

Dirt cheap depending on what you're subscribed to. Don't forget, it's just top level data, the most basic of basic price information.
