Is Health Care and Education, "Infrastructure" ?

Can Health Care and Infrastructure be considered "Infrastructure" ?

  • Yes, if you think about Infrastructure abstractly. But the rewards are the same.

That is interesting article. Free school and national health care, but a free market. What is that government name?

Mixed economy.

Education is free and considered as Infrastructure in Ireland. And one of the secrets behind Ireland's economical revival.

Ireland's turnaround began in the late 1960's when the government made secondary education free, enabling a lot more working-class kids to get a high school or technical degree. As a result, when Ireland joined the E.U. in 1973, it was able to draw on a much more educated work force.

Nitro,

Maybe going off the subject somewhat but I'm wondering is Goldman Sachs infrastructure?
Well, that has been answered already by the powers that be. The answer is obviously, YES according to the massive bailouts that all these banks received either directly or indirectly.

Do I think it is? In another thread,

I suggest that if we did not have a GS, then foreign firms would fill the role. So, it is very possible that GS is in some strange way, "Infrastructure".
