Is God mute?

atheist evangelical sophistry on display from stu. Why would he deny it?

why not just say the truth - we don't know how something this complex and this tuned for life got to be the way it is?

See, that's the puzzling thing.
The magnificence of existence is primarily evidence of itself, not of God. Arbitrarily adding a thing like God to it, simply by imagining it, isn't evidence for God. It's evidence of imagination. Just as every other imaginary thing is.

I'm saying that what we believe to be impossible is not necessarily so.

..and I'm saying, what we believe to be possible is not necessarily so.

I think you might be forgetting, imagination can equally be wrong as well right about what is and isn't possible.

To the imaginative, imagining anything is possible, also requires imagining it isn't possible that anything is possible.

I agree. I don't believe that I have ever claimed to be absolutely right on the subject of creation and/or some Higher Power. I readily admit I might well be completely wrong about what I currently believe. I take the position of being open minded to all ideas.

Brother Jem, you might want to look at Romans 1:28.
Back up to 18 and then through the end of chapter verse 32.... Sums up mankind's nature very well,we haven't changed, just advanced technically - our false gods have been replaced with the worship of self, totally ignoring God to the point where we have reached verse 32.

What is good is ridiculed, what is wrong is approved and those that do wrong are idolized.

or, if you're an atheist and don't really like reading the Bible, you could just read Orwell's 1984

Well said, though I'm sure not so open minded your brains might fall out.
But you draw the line somewhere right? I do too, at one less Higher Power than you.
