is Penrose talking Jesus and God or science here?
he isn't and neither am I when I am talking about the fine tuning of our universe.
Yes I defined morality as right behavior, the oxford dictionary defines it the same with no absolute in front of it , maybe you should get in touch with them as you obviously want to re define the oxford dictionary according to your world view.from your post 584 / my emphasis:
How are you not defining "Right behavior (morality)" -your words- as absolute.![]()
What was in the past handed down by Kings and Popes, supposedly direct from god, declared true because of it and said to be set in stone, found no longer to be moral or absolute.
I'll ask you again whose truth?

What was handed down? What's being declared true still does not make it true, do you believe to be true everything someone tells you is true ? Do you believe everything and anything? do you believe what Obama say's to be true just because the government declares it ? Lots of people probably didn't even believe what the kings and popes where saying to be true even though they declared it true .

Your ego is set in stone Stu, you keep referring to who's truth, where truth is clearly defined as not relative to how YOU perceive it, it's called "solipsism" defined as..
"Only the self exists, or can be proved"
"Extreme preoccupation with and indulgence of one's feelings, desires, etc.; egoistic self-absorption".
So you admit, he isn't talking about Jesus or God.
..so what are you talking about when talking about "the fine tuning of our universe." eh?
A tuner/designer/creator/doing some tuning... wot...like Jesus and God?
Talking about "the fine tuning of our universe" is not talking science. It's talking unfounded presumption.
Unfounded presumption.the fine tuning of our universe.
Earth appears flat. As with everything else, the inevitable consequence of natural forces make it not so.universe appears incredibly fine tuned.
Unfounded presumption of a 'Creator'.We might have no conception of what our real Creator is.
