Absolutely it can be wrong. In fact, I believe that in the future we will have a far deeper understanding of logic and reason. We are already seeing bits and pieces of that far broader theory. But wrong is not the correct way to look at it. The scientific method has taught us that something that works for a very long time and has been shown to have predictive power over nature is rarely completely wrong. A more accurate way to think about it is, encompassed. So our logic is probably only an approximation to something far more accurate. But it cannot be Faith.

Also, I never said I don't believe in a Creator, or what I call GOD. I said the Biblical God is mute. Allah doesn't talk to you, neither does Jehova, or Shiva, or the countless other names for religious gods.

I asked a simple question. I doubt you have ever asked yourself why God is mute, and people talk about God (for example, in the gay marriage debate) as if the guy was standing next to him. Some book written by farmers with a sixth grade education T W O T H O U S A N D Y E A R S ago is what is standing next to them. Not God, and certainly not GOD.

Oh, for the Jews it was 5000 years ago. For the Muslims 500 years ago. In case you think I am picking on Christians.

I just don't believe that 2000 year old farmers with a sixth grade education believing in some supreme being that is mute and only talked to them can direct my life.

Ask yourself, why is God mute?

Why does God care what people do with their genitals? This is your God?

If God created the Universe, why allow free will to begin with? If people with the same genitals want to marry bug him, why not just make them impossible to exist to begin with? Is he not omnipotent? Why write it in some book (told to farmers no less) instead of just sending down lighting bolts to make it clear?

I don't claim to be wise. I am asking a simple question. Why is God mute? In fact I profess ignorance!

I don't get these guys that are constantly saying God says this and God says that. Is God mute? Maybe he can use sign language to have himself heard? Why doesn't God just come out and say these things instead of being heard through some lowly ape descendants? If were God I would be afraid of something being lost in translation.
