Is God mute?

you have the lider maximo not me. I have the very strong hope my sins are forgiven and I therefore get to spend eternity with the Light of this hologram.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

This is what awaits Jem in the after-life for not following his Lider Maximo on HUMAN FORCED Global Warming:View attachment 156584

God is the name we give to that which we don't understand.
or, God is the name we give to that which gives us understanding

God is the name given to that which instructs how not to understand.

From the above one can conclude, righty or wrongly, that man created God. If this is so, does it necessarily mean that God is not real?

...or that man created Mother Goose. Does it necessarily mean that Mother Goose is not real?

Some thoughts, not my own, for you to ponder.
"God is a morally evolving personality"
Does religion simply dehumanize evil?
"If the Creator were conscious of Himself, He would not need conscious creatures; nor is it probable that the extremely indirect methods of creation, which squander millions of years upon the development of countless species and creatures, are the outcome of purposeful intention."
God (sic) "found as if by chance, unintended and unforeseen, and yet somehow sensed, felt and groped for out of some dark urge."
Question. From the above one can conclude, righty or wrongly, that man created God. If this is so, does it necessarily mean that God is not real?
The thoughts listed are taken from the writings of Carl Jung.
that's a pretty good one. Next time somebody gives me a hard time and tells me there is no god, I will just reply, "ah, He's out there, you just haven't created Him yet."

now those boys that wrote the old testament created one heck of a god. I don't think I can do much better

You debate from a position of weakness when you respond like a 12 year old. Greater minds than ours have posed these questions without resorting to adolescent minded quips. I am always willing give serious consideration to another's point of view on this subject assuming that the other person is capable of intelligent debate. In short, please grow up, or refrain from commenting on my posts regarding this subject. Most of what gets posted down here in P&R is meaningless nonsense. This subject is not.

Captain,
My comment is a serious one. Greater minds than yours or mine have even used quips regarding teapots to make their point. If you do think the subject is not meaningless and is worth serious consideration, maybe drop the supercilious and judgmental attitude and explain why God is any more real than Mother Goose.

God's mute 'cos he's in A BLACK HOLE. Once in nothing comes out.Not even voice! There is no other explanation..
sorry if it's a bit off of the current discussion but I couldn't resist this phenomenal discovery :)

It's just that the "quips" seem to be your go to position more often than not. None the less, your point is well taken.
As to your Mother Goose question. Mother Goose is as real as one wants to make it in their own mind, as is God. The real question is, does Mother Goose or God exist outside of our mind? Is collective conscious thought powerful enough to create something from nothing?
If you take the position, and I think that you do, that given enough time anything is possible,(something which I believe), then is it not possible for human beings to have created something from thought alone? If one believes that given the time life itself can evolve from nothing, then why not a Higher Order of our human consciousness? Once you buy into the fact that anything is possible, you cannot then pick and choose what is possible. If anything is possible, then "anything" is possible. Probable? That's a whole other question, but probable is constrained by a couple of things that possible is not. Time and imagination.

You do see how if anything is possible it is then also possible, that it isn't ?
I'm glad we agree that all theories regarding the creation of the universe and life itself may be completely wrong, and theories are all we currently have. On this subject absolute certainty is not possible at this moment in time.
