Is day trading worth it?

Except I have posted evidence that I do trade and have been for close to a decade now. Others have commented that my numbers are very good so I'd say I actually can trade.

I have seen no evidence you can trade or know anything about trading.

Here's a trade that was started in Note's Journal thread. That thread appeared to have died a premature death with both the trainee and trainer going AWOL - how dreams die ... sigh. So, I will carry on with the trade here.

I have increased the exposure on the trade in expectation of the trade making the final leg of the move. As it stands currently, the trade is worth 5%+ account growth. Anyone sane would have taken the gain. But I am too greedy and looking for more. The only risk I see the trade facing is the EU QE bullsh*t. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. Livermore once said, it's the sitting ...

Many current and former member of his club came out and outed him on Bigmike vendor review section. The amazing track record? Faked. The live calls? False advertising, he never actually did any.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. After hearing about him, I looked at the trade records he posted on his site and they made no sense. I had no idea what his trading tactics were from looking at those trade logs. Usually I can tell right away what someones basic tactics are if I see a few trades. But there was no logic to his trades and there were really strange discrepancies that just made no sense to me.

How much $ would you guys say would be necessary to fund a high risk day trading account to trade one lot ES?

I have some excessive capital from a very successful swing trade I took on that I might be interested in putting into a day trading account.

I believe I had a good thing going with the ES, but the difference from my prior approach will be that:

- I won't attempt to 'trade for a living'
- I won't have to withdraw the cash
- I can have the capital in that account for years

I'm thinking that ideally I should have at least $5000 per contract, but I don't think I have more than $3000 to spare at the moment as I want to continue swing trading as well.
