Is day trading worth it?

Don't bother arguing with this clown. He's a failed trader. One of those "if I can't do it ....nobody can types". So sad that he's such a hater. Has to come on a trading site and go around trolling telling people day trading can't be done. I know plenty of day traders doing very well. If he spent as much energy on working on his trading as he does coming on here being a clown he might actually become a profitable trader.

Funny how he blabbed trend following CTA's were dead, since then they are crushing it. Now day trading is dead. I guess he hasn't noticed the SP's and Crude having huge swings....day traders paradise.

Agree completely that interacting with these folks (or even reading their posts) isn't healthy.

A major benefit of this business is the freedom to avoid idiots. I've respect for anyone who takes time to write some thoughtful posts to help others, but sadly 99% of it seems to be drowned out by morons; I can see why people don't find any value in putting themselves out there.

The main reason they don't put themselves out there is for fear of showing people they are incapable of attaining value. Here's something I put out there earlier in the thread that these "successful" day traders are unable to do. Success can be quite easily measured by the individual's fear. The genuine successful has a healthy respect for risk, while the pretenders are immobilized by it. The difference is very easy to discern via nothing beyond a few forum posts. The BS'ers are usually very fragile.
