Is day trading worth it?

I've retired from trading thanks to Surf's astonishing call last month posted right here on ET in advance:

11/19/14 Surf: "Price DRIVERS pegged at 9--- we are fully committed, 100% long, this is a once in a blue moon opportunity, we have never seen anything like it--- bet the farm!"

11/19/14 NoD: "OK! All in! Full margin!!!"

11/21/2014 NoD: "w00t!!!"

Nice!! Too bad some dick head had to threaten me and my business after the killer oil call. surf

Lescor is self taught, he relies on prop solely for the leverage. Same for me, although I went retail this year. We, along with a handful of trader friends all describe what you say is impossible. Everyone averages six/seven figures for many years...you just aren't in the same circles.
There are savants in every endeavor, including casino gambling. Just in this case, they all brag about it, and post on elite trader! LMFAO!

So earlier you said consistently profitable traders can't exist, but now you are changing that to trading "savants" can exist? Are you just a ET troll?

I am quite the opposite of a troll. You say you and your friends do it--- I am not going to argue with you despite everything I have seen tells me their is more to your success than you claim,

do it yourself profitable DAY traders from home, who start from scratch, do not exist. There are 1000's of other types of profitable trader/investors---

I'll ask you again. How much are you willing to pay to be proven otherwise? If the DIY home trader is such a myth within your circles of fund managers and institutional traders then certainly that should be worth something to people with high disposal income, no? So how about you put your money where your mouth is and stop looking like an idiot.

a lot of alpha that succesfull retail trader employs are capacity constrained, hence all the secrecy.

Ok, name one item that is capacity constrained by the retail gambler ? But presumably you can't say because revealing the secret would violate the beta constraint ?

All I can see is a lot of BS constraints.

Yes, of course I have the answer. But I am too constrained by the delta to tell you. But I can give you a clue, it has something to do with the male cattle.

Is anyone else finding their small amount of money is constraining the market ?
