Is day trading worth it?

I'm not interested in being mentored at the present time. There are however numerous people here who are interested, and who are currently being mentored by individuals who do not demonstrate profitability or actually anything at all. Present company excluded.

Why did you quote me saying something I didn't say?

I do however think what you're saying is very accurate. Most people here who have a desire to 'teach' all the time, is very unlikely to be profitable.

You did say it on page 18. Just wanted to make a point about the mentoring. I realize what you said was in jest.

This absurd TL methodology is fleshed out, right? So how about some REAL-TIME application of principles. Wouldn't that be the next step? Prove it empirically for all to see. Why so scare?

I don't disclose my directional or vol method in the thread, but have done so elsewhere on this site. If I can post complex vanilla positions on here then futures are a breeze.

Yes I find myself quite in agreement with this.

Careful, I find swing trading much easier to daytrading, not to mention, cheaper.
There are less decisions to make when swing trading and position trading. Thus, there is more time to review and contemplate your decisions. Less decisions=fewer times you can be wrong.

What's your approach to swing trading, may I ask?

Are you following a ton of stocks or instruments or do you concentrate on a few?

What I like with day trading is that you can really specialize and focus on one contract. I know some people like to spread out here as well, but I don't. For me, it was the ES and I felt I really started getting a grasp of how it moves.

Seeing that my current swing trade has been open for months and probably will be for at least another month, I was thinking perhaps I could combine day trading and swing trading.

I may have already mentioned it, but the difference from my approach to day trading now and then, is that I won't attempt to trade for a living or have pressure to perform. It will be a long term thing where I can and will skip days entirely. I had tons of days in the past where I was profitable, but I knew I had to make it big, so I would often end up losing it.
