Is Day Trading Inferior to Swing Trading?

No veggy yet, but in the pipeline.

The back is Portuguese Laurel hedging, soil is natural as we have great soil in Ireland, no sprinklers required - look at the grass after the rain:rolleyes:.

Brick - do you see a problem with it, and what is missing from picture of brick paving?

Mixture is tree bark - fine cut for composting as opposed to large chips.

I live in more desert area of USA, grass is like yellow if you do have it as we have water restrictions, most have small rocks, LOL "Honey, send the kids out to play and they come back cut and bruised"

Since I am half Irish and Dad was Bricklayer who tried his damnest to make son one as well, downsloping garden means whatever blows down you are constantly sweeping up, perhaps one inch difference between brick and garden. I would have not gone to thinner brick on curve but instead of using diamond blade masonry saw and cut angles so the outer brick border have same width as ones on straights. You can see on upper inner border the outer are straight across for seven bricks, of course you might have wanted it this way instead of curved.
Regardless very very nice. If it wasn't for cold winters and high taxes, I'd move there as people are very friendly and best whiskey around for my tastes and added to coffee. Don't advise drinking and trading though, doesn't work, LOL :rolleyes:
 
Very observant - i was not here when the gobshite was doing the brick, as he would have had to change it - he made a fuk up of the curve as you rightly pointed out:mad:

We had step stones planned up to a patio - changed mind and went for path instead - this time I done it myself, as one thing I hate is shabby workmanship - most tradesmen nowadays are chancers and just want a quick buck !

The timber bench seat is missing:D

Why are some people good at gardens and bricks and others not so good? Is it art or science? Is it a discipline thing or lack of edge? Did he use charts or brick flow to determine best/worst angle of direction? Did he finish out in one day or did he hold overnight? This land designing is so hard! I bet at least 20% to 90% fail...depending on soil and weather conditions!:p:D;)
 
I WAS better at swing trading like 15years ago, making decisions in an instant and just doing it, I have trouble with, which makes me a poor day trader, but ZERO interest in going back to Swing trading, Day Trading all the way to the grave if needs be.

Reasons.........

I have better control over profits and losses
I Exit I don't have to worry about my positions, I can do whatever I want.
Longer the hold the more your open to randomness and the nearer it becomes a 50/50 game.
I can and do get 80% profit rates day trading ( When trading well I'll add ) and make 2x's+ the profit to risk.
I can and have made 20% in a day being a few hours, Swing 20% is considered good per year.

Can you train yourself to think quick enough to day trade and enter / exit in an instant, zero hesitation/hope there is no room for either.

The real problem is not knowing what you are doing - or the best way to do it - which can be attributed to many reasons, but always due to one main reason, that being - lack of experience!

There are no mysteries to doing a job correctly - the right way is always the best way, and the best way is always the right way:thumbsup:

FWIW - I did not hire the gobshite, it was the other half - in fact, I sacked him - I knew the minute I saw him that he was not a qualified tradesman:rolleyes:
