CNBC. Just saw it. Had to double check the channel that was on the screen.

Anyway, thought it was worth a chuckle.
 
it is typical that cnbc gets such a traction here. cnbc is an ENTERTAINMENT channel - not a business channel for pros. traders (and investors) do not need to watch a constant stream of TV bullshit to trade.

do you think cnbc would be switched on on all trading floors if it is a serious program?

Actually yes. I see nothing but CNBC on the trading floors. It has a lot of captive audience unfortunately. If you are a head honcho and have something important to say, would you rather say it on CNBC, Bloomberg or FBN?

that's what I am saying! CNBC is switched on everywhere because it is an entertainment.
 
I usually leave Bloomberg on throughout the day as background noise. As for CNBC, like others said, it's for entertainment. I will occasionally watch it, but definitely not for trading ideas. I have cable service through Cox Communications. I'm not sure if other areas received it sooner than I did, but about a month ago, CNBC HD was added to the channel lineup.
