Is Bitcoin counterfeit money?

What is "Money?" In one sense, it is a medium of exchange. Nothing more, nothing less. In another sense, it is fiat currency-- government issued currency.

What is counterfeit currency? It is merely the imitation of fiat currency-- U.S. dollars. Since Bitcoin, is not an imitation of U.S. dollars, one can conclude that it is not counterfeit currency.

Oops, you mean the USD is counterfeit, right?

Bitcoin is legitimate and its value is increasing day by day. I don’t know why you’d call it counterfeit money.
