Is Biden the guy to bring the country back to center?

The poll says it all....

The main reason for the Biden vote?

56%, He’s not Trump. A victory for the MSM’s +4 year long nonstop smear campaign.

Trump couldn’t have lost because we have sky high unemployment, sickness and death though, right?

FYI: we are living through one of the worst failures of leadership in American history. It’s literally happening right in front of your eyes.

Biden might be able to get congress to play nice for awhile, time will tell. He has a better chance of that than Trump was ever going to have for all the obvious reasons.
Move to the center? First we must ask where the center is in 2020 and center compared to what? We are forced to choose between a bible in every classroom and gender transformations for 6 year olds. We are told silence is violence but looting is not. We are told freedom of speech is all important while big tech decides what speech is permitted. There are hundreds of examples that we all can come up with be it left or right leaning. The fact is the lunatics are running the asylum and our political leaders are to cowardly to tell them to STFU. Worse, they actually pander to the most extreme elements of our society. Until that stops there is no center to be found. Once again we see that Congress was, is and will continue to be the problem. We must find someway to purge that organization without having to wait for elections, elections which are rigged to favor the worst of the bunch.

For what, reporting the news and Trump's lies, corruption, and grift?

I said Biden's policies isn't what people voted for, regardless of what the old guard Democrats would have you believe
What were the policies they voted for?

Your poll says the main reason they voted was anti-Trump. I doubt the person or platform mattered.

The money backers for the DNC (old guard) got their puppet elected.

I've grown tired of centrists who continue to move to a shifting "center" as the country gets dragged far right, and Americans don't really seem to be impressed with Biden's policy positions regardless of what a few members here or the media says (see below).

The problems I've had with centrist candidates is their unwillingness to stay true to their beliefs, always willing to "compromise"/capitulate to ever increasing right wing policies. Patriot Act, DHS/ICE, military spending, militarization of police and growing police state practices, corporatism/anti-trust protections etc...

Righties will say, well, they also capitulate to the radical left on the "culture war issues" but I see these things as distractions that don't really have any meaningful impact. Doesn't bother me one bit if "the gays can adopt".

So I've found it over the years in all honesty harder and harder to identify with the center as the it shifts from the center that I used to know was. I've said as much in the run up to the election, that the country had moved so far to the right that having someone to the polar opposite will be the only way to have meaningful movement towards the center.

What's your take? Is the center a pipe dream as the country radically shifts one way?
