Is An Israel Attack On Iran Imminent?

Possibility... the reality is a resolution made by the un security council can get us into a war/conflict without any vote by congress. Congress in 1945 delegated its war powers.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

I think the argument would be that if the US started a war that had not been approved by the UN or if had been specifically disapproved by the UN, then the US would be acting in violation of international law.

While we could thumb our noses at that, violation of international law could have cosnequences, eg officials could be subject to arrest outside the US and prosecution.

It couldn't be disapproved because we have veto power in the Security Council.

On another note, I personally think we should stay a member of the U.N. but we should stop all payments to them. The U.N. has become more of a tool to be used against us by states that don't like us. And, there is so much corruption with our money at the U.N. it isn't funny any longer.

Doesn't work that way:

Only the Security Council has the power to make binding decisions that member governments have agreed to carry out, under the terms of Charter Article 25.

It's an automatic veto without a United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Like I said... Congress delegated its war powers to the UN security Council.

That's just not right. Sorry.

Quote from Spike Trader:

Netanyahu is a shrewd guy. He doesn't want a single Israeli missile or soldier to be involved in taking out Iran.He wants the US to do it.

If you brought the issue going into Iraq War, would you be surprised if they would have told you it is not true?

Quote from pspr:

a sign that the Israeli leader is not backing down from the sharp rhetoric that strained relations this week with the Obama administration.

backing or barking? Isn't climbing down a tree better done in silence for a bluffer?
