Is a China trade deal the last hurrah for this bull run?

The market has spoken loud and clear. The trade deal is the next big catalyst. It is yet to price in. Don't over think.
 
I am just wondering how many people are going to give back all of their gains when the China deal goes through and the market tanks immediately afterwards.

How do you know that the rally of the last quarter was not the market pricing in the China deal? You know, the usual "buy the rumor, sell the news" type thing.
 
Only 50% in my opinion. The other 50% is the Fed, which has made a 180 pivot. The conventional wisdom is as you put it "buy the rumor and sell the news". But when the rumor is multidimensional and keeps changing, the market doesn't know what to believe until the end. Trust Trump and Xi will both blink in the end. Otherwise...congrats to those brave souls who have the courage to short at current level...
