Iraq Spirals into Violence

"Mission Accomplished"

Now there are hollow words...

Quote from drjekyllus:

He wasn't weak with pirates but he wasn't particularly strong. What happened with the pirates was nothing special. Its pretty standard hostage protocal. We can stop the chest pounding about the pirates.

If you want weakness, look at his response to North Korea. "North Korea broke the rules, once again, by testing a rocket that could be used for long range missiles," Obama said in his speech. ""Words must mean something . . . The world must stand together to prevent the spread of these weapons." Words must mean something? Hey Obama, your words are hollow.

Quote from drjekyllus:

That would be reasonable thinking if Bush were in charge. However, Obama is in charge. The terrorist have waited a bit to see what their best option is and it is obvious they want to go the Somali route. In Somalia, the world saw that if the US has a weak President then you dont have to defeat its military. You only have to make the conflict politically damaging for the President. Once you do that, the weak President will call the military off. There are countless reports that say that Bin Laden saw Clinton's weakness in Somalia which allowed Bin Laden to become more aggressive. Bin Laden's problem is that he assumed Bush was the same as Clinton. Bin Laden learned quickly, that Bush has a backbone and some loser terrorist in a cave ain't going to make Bush back down.

Now to Iraq

They know, Obama doesnt have the backbone that Bush had. They know, the more blood they shed, the faster Obama will want to clean his hands of it. Their objective from here on out is to escalate the violence and maybe try to spread it to the greater region.
Exactly. One would have to be an utter fool to believe that Iraqi insurgents are not in any way emboldened by Obama's announcement of troop withdrawals and his releasing classified memos regarding interrogation methods.

Well said. You're handling the straw men and evasion tactics of the resident troll very well. Just don't get frustrated when it ratches up the ad hominem and obfuscation; an angry response that includes more questions for it to dodge is what sustains its unhappy existence.

Radical Islam's fundamental point has always been that "America is a paper tiger." They teach that if the body count rises high enough, if the cost is great enough, the USA will fold like a paper fan. They tell their story about weak willed, fat Americans who've grown soft on double cheeseburgers and 6 hours a day of television.

They point to Vietnam and say America was afraid to wage war with full intent of victory. Then they say America is even weaker now. They say America does not even have the heart to put panties on the heads of it's enemies to gain intel.

A time table to surrender in Iraq does little to contend this idea.

You are volunteering to be water boarded 183 times to show that the USA doesn't torture, right?

This is obvious to everyone but the resident troll - who actually might agree but just wants to argue/masturbate itself - and moonbats.

Yawn.

So says the Czechoslovakian who isn't even an American citizen.

Were you actually born in the U.S. Mr. College?

6 posts /day. LOL. Get a life I am tired of you.
