It won't be difficult to make an excuse, we continue on a daily basis to see US govt hypocrisy.

It's an election year and the US electorate has had it with forever wars, especially those started by a Democrat.
No way does the US play any military role against Iran unless Iran attacks a US ship or some similar act.
The way I see it, the crazies want the world to end, something to do with 'paradise', so they'll pull in as many as they can.
It seems to me that the Iranian strategy must be to try to provoke an Israeli response that can be painted as going too far.
If you zoom out and squint at what is going on, that seems to be the strategy overall.
I also wonder what the cost was in $ to launch that attack vs what the cost was in $ to defend it. How depleted is the Israeli iron dome from that attack?
I imagine drones are hugely asymmetrical in costs to build vs costs to shoot down.
Of course, you can't find any real analysis of any of this.
