So yes, I can't take it back now, but I think the context of what I was saying still holds. I can't remember the details now, but from some of the documentaries I've seen, Palestine was carved out for these people. But over the years, Israel kept stealing land and essentially keeping Palestinians hostage.

Let me put it like this. If some deranged family keeps their kid locked in the basement for decades and somehow this kid one day escapes the abuse and torture by killing the father and mother, do we not conclude that the parents are 100% responsible? The kid may do the stabbing, but the foundation for this killing rests on the decades of abuse and torture

I'm of course not saying that those Israelis that were killed or kidnapped at the rock concert deserve their fate. But the actions of Israel over the past few decades absolutely created the environment that made this attack 100% likely. Now you have Israel starving hundreds of thousands of people, and this means they aren't making any friends.

The only solution is to create an environment where you get more pleasure from building a better life, rather than getting pleasure for retribution. Sadly, religion glorifies an afterlife, so I don't see this improving any time soon.

We've been friendly on these boards, but I have to be as blunt as to say I think you're out of your depth here. Your source is a documentary you've seen, but can't even remember the details of? I suggest studying up more on this conflict before you speak strongly about it.

And what's up with the analogy like you're speaking to a 5 year old?

There's zero excuse for slaughtering innocent civilians in a terrorist attack like Hamas did on the 7th of October. Absolutely zero. If you show even the slightest understanding of such actions we really don't have anything to discuss.

To be clear, I'm not uncritical towards Israel by any means, but I do stand with Israel. Particularly now that the whole western world are supporting and celebrating terrorists.

Kanye is a privileged "look at me" prick, putting aside his musical talent. He has no one to blame for his now outcast status but himself.

Jews, just like the rest of us, have good and bad apples. It seems from the action of those over along the eastern Mediterranean these days more bad than good.

Both parties will have to work it out and stop the blame game. Until that happens the killing, both directions, will continue.

As the world renown Jewish Physicist Einstein's saying goes, doing the same over and over expecting different results. Insaaaaaaaaaaaane!!!!

But this is the stupid part. To say you stand with Isreal means what? That you support starving all the Palestinians to death? That you support Israel kicking them out of their houses?

If you said you think Hamas is wrong for killing all the innocent people, I can get behind that 100%. But does standing with Israel mean that you support the military campaign happening there right now? Even many Israelis don't support this and they know the retribution that will come.

This is no different than the US election. (here is another analogy you will love). We all know Trump is an idiot who is only self centered, but at least he appears to want to close the border. Do you really want to vote for Biden and have an open border policy? Have you seen the crime rates sky rocket? Have you seen how much money its costing to pay for all the illegal immigrants? Voting for Trump doesn't mean you like the guy, it just means you want to control the border.

So this whole bullish of standing with Israel or standing with Palestine is total crap. All this time that we are arguing, all that is happening is that the Hamas leaders are getting rich, just like many US corporations building the weapons that are sold to Israel. Zelensky is also mega wealthy as a result of the war over there.

Feel free to do whatever you want as long as you can stand by it. It's a free world.

But in this thread we have for example @NoahA here who's wondering if there's something to Kanye West's Jewish hate and how the Jews are getting rich at the expense of the rest of the world which is suffering. Where did we hear that story before? I think there was a conspiracy theory about Hollywod being a pedophile (Jewish?) ring as well.

And then there's @d08 who talks about how jews have been "playing victims throughout history and like to talk about being persecuted in Europe, but don't want to talk about why (???)".

If that's not anti-semitism, I don't know what is.
