I did not support anyone trying to overthrow the US Government and I don't support that now. I do however support removing Leftist politicians by virtue of the ballot box.

I know about that, I am talking about in the 1970s going forward when they became our hated enemy and started trying to get nuclear and got involved in sponsoring terrorism. Not someone who should have nukes so I don't subscribe to the "we are not the world police". Someone has to be.

How do I need history to justify Iran's support of terrorism against the U.S., Israel and all infidels everywhere???? They are extremists and giving them a nuke is a really bad idea when they fight with everyone and support some of the worst regimes.

We are of course getting the picture we ask for. One can not justify the measures taken by extremists. When I said it was necessary to look backward, I did not intend it to mean that there is, in history, a justification for terrorist measures. There never is. What I meant is that one should learn from history and to understand in the light of history. History can explain. Explanation can assist in reaching accommodation. We should all want to find ways of preventing mistakes of the past from visiting us in the future.
