NKNY: Sothamerica, I'm sure the people of Iran are very nice and educated people.....But the people do not control the government in Iran. And as for them only using Nuclear weapons as a last resort...well, I really donât think the US will base is security on what you think. You view events as you would like them to appear...Not how they truly are...
The truth is Iran is falling right into the US trap. Everything is by design... by the powers that be. Not you , me or Iran can do anything about the outcome. Iranâs Government must go. And they know this which is why they are trying to obtain nukes ASAP.

SouthAmerica: Why do you think that Iranâs government must go?
I am not afraid of Iranâs government and the Iranian people have the right to elect anyone they want to be their leader. As far as I believe it is no business of the United States who is the leader of Iran, but the Iranian people.
Take a good look around the world and you will see that today not many countries cares about what the United States thinks. For example today if Americans had any saying in the matter most countries in South America would have different leaders â leaders that would go along with what Washington have to say. The US is losing all its prestige and clout even around its backyard.

NKNY: Do you think the fact that Iran is currently surrounded by US forces is an accident. Sure, Bush & Co are in the White house right now saying:" Golly, look how lucky we got by invading Iraq and Afghanistan, now we have troops right where we need them for this "new Crises" with Iran..." I donât think so ..
This crises is not new and a lot of planning has gone into this. Much of the planning is political. How can the US bring Assets where they need to be while minimizing Backlash from the US and world population.
Now that the assets are where they need to be, the US is actually in a holding pattern preparing the political side of the game... .. I mean they cant just start a war.
********
SouthAmerica: Iran is surrounded by the US Army just in theory, since in Afghanistan the US army have outsourced the fighting to Afghan warlords.
There is just a small number of US soldiers in Afghanistan and their major responsibility is to keep Kabul safe to give the world the impression that things in Afghanistan are under control.
But the reality is that outside Kabul (The Afghanistan Green Zone) the rest of the country is under control of different armies from different warlords.
In a Nutshell: The reality is Afghanistan is a mess.

NKNY: Also, they are not getting their ass kicked as you "Think". Sure the Insurgents will attack where they can but this is just a drop in the bucket...The casualties are well within range of an occupation of this magnitude. And actually, the number is far lower then was anticipated. As a matter of fact, the projected casualties for the invasion were well into the thousands..... So the US is actually doing great in the Casualty dept FYI..

SouthAmerica: Iraq is in the middle of a civil war and the different factions are targeting each other â for more than a year the American Army have been just a bunch of âpatsysâ serving as target practice for the insurgency in the middle of a civil war â and there is nothing the US army can do about it. The Iraqis will continue with their civil war despite what Americans want to do in Iraq.
Basically, Iraq is a showcase to the world of the ineptitude of the US army today of their short and long term planning â the American weapons are being destroyed very fast by the hot weather and sand. It is hard to keep moral high when you need to be wearing a vest at all times and the weather is over 120 degrees and most of the time it is hot like hell.
The insurgents have infiltrated the little of government that is in place â and there is no "new Iraqi army" but instead there are groups of militias each one under a separate leader and a with a different agenda. And in the mean time there is a civil war going in most parts of the country.
*****
NKNY: Any loss is horrible IMO but lets get back to reality.... In the grand scheme of things ... it means nothing to the US agenda. So "getting their ass kicked" is your perspective, not reality. The "reality" is they are exactly where they want to be....they now have Iran surrounded and have had plenty of time to set up logistics for future combat operations with Iran.
Do you think that the fact that Bin laden escaped from Tora Bora wasn't by design.... Sure, Americans left the job of catching Osama up to foreign fighters because they are idiots...Your an idiot if you believe that spoon feeding...
Bin laden escaping = Fear and reason to invade Iraq. The American public must feel fear to enable operations to continue.
********
SouthAmerica: Osama Bin Ladden escaped because of two reasons â
1) Americans did not have a clue about how to fight him in Afghanistan.
2) Bin Ladden is a legend in that part of the world and the local people will do anything to protect him from the US forces.
The reality is the US canât find him after 4 and ½ years of chasing him in the Afghanistan and Pakistan mountains area.
********
NKNY: The inevitable outcome.... A US friendly government in Iran. If you want me to explain what a US friendly Government is... ask me...

SouthAmerica: Since 1950 the United States has been interfering on the Iranians internal affairs. The CIA did overthrow one Iranian government and installed a dictator to rule things with an iron fist - Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
This is the American idea of a friendly government â friendly to whom?
Not to the Iranian people.
If the United States could manage to removed from power the current Iranian leader â What kind of puppet do you think the US would place in power in Iran?
Another dictator such as the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi? Or someone more like Saddam Hussein?
But for any practical purposes â the situation in Iraq is completely out of control â in Afghanistan things are not any better â and today the US does not have the capability to start another war even against Haiti â never mind Iran.
