I think Obama thought all the problems of the Middle East would disappear after his Cairo speech. His ego really is that big. Its funny how this blew up right in his face. He doesn't even have the balls to take a stand and defend fair elections. What a joke.

very smart move, for many reasons, the iranian government will not dare kill anyone inside the mosques, people around the country will become aware of the fact that the filthy basijis and government killed protesters, most everyone will learn that the protesters are not punks (unlike what the government claims they are) but regular people who are sick of the government, the continuation of protests is almost guaranteed this way, it will make further violent crackdown on protesters even harder for the government as more deaths will result in even more intense protests
