So... Just got off from a chat with a DTN sales person and was told that if I want to make my own custom software to work with their feed I'll have to pay $300/y for the API. I'll have to do this even if I reverse engineer other existing software in order to make my custom software inter-operate with their servers (in which case I wont need the API at all). Apparently there is some agreement that you sign when you pay for the feed that excludes you from doing this. Not really much point to this post other than to moan. Why should I pay $300 per year to write *my own* custom software??
