Crime is a result of poverty. Most crimes are poverty related. People who grew up poor, in a poor neighborhood and went to poor schools are more likely to commit crime because they have the least access to resources.

As poverty goes down, educational attainment goes up, crime goes down.

Perhaps "stupid" was bit harsh and definitely a personal opinion. But I feel the same about any religion including Islam. And you're right the more fervent, the more dangerous just like the Dark Ages. The point was that as the intellectual level rises religious beliefs wane and that is a fact and therein lies the real hope of mankind. Not some ridiculous notion of a second coming that never seems to arrive.

Look, there are plenty of good people on any side that are believers, I accept that and honestly don't generally care much until it impacts me. But religion is just a colossal waste of time and energy and there is nothing beneficial that it provides that can't be provided through secularity. While many believe it defines mankind in some fashion really it's just the opposite. It just holds us back from making further progress as a species and always has.

There are a lot of general statements in there that are subjective and editorial. Nothing wrong with that, we are each entitled to our own view on the world. But the only time I have a problem with religion is when people who follow it try to force their beliefs upon me. I shouldn't have to change my life because of the desires of any religion, or any cult.

But Christians are trying to change my life a lot less these days than, say, racial justice warriors who believe all whites are evil and racist simply because they're white. Or how I need to accept the teaching of transgender aspects being taught to my child in school. Or how I need to lock myself down because "teh science". This is the stuff that has gone after my life. Religion has been rather quiet.

All the women in my life are extremely intelligent. When my kids were growing up, we encountered this kind of energy from mediocre males like yourself as they excelled in many male dominated fields of study and competition ( with measurable high end successes ).

Women in general are less brash and loud about their accomplishments and less prone to pursue pointless excesses in life then many males. This does not make them any less capable or intelligent then the very top males in these fields. Often what you think you are seeing is just the extremist nature of many males obsessed with certain goals, some of which are pointless in the bigger picture.
