IQ and trading

been doing this since yesterday.
got 12 items... found the safe... that took about 30mins or so.

i even tried to count dance beats looking for clues...

How do you escape with 1) only the CD Case and cassette?
2) Only the window ledge key, box, and ring?
This intrigues me more than the monkey-see-monkey-do way of solving this puzzle by clicking anywhere and everywhere.

OK here's how you get out using only the CD case and the cassette. (of course this excludes you guys from the 4000 club as much as it did me lol)

========================
All you need to open the door are the CD case, which is in the top left hand drawer of the dresser and the cassette tape, which is on the floor under the dresser.

Then in this order:
Left click on the CD case so that it opens up.
Right click while on the open CD case, there are several options.
Left click on "play", and let the "movie" play all the way through.

Then right click on the cassette tape, there are several options.
Left click on play. The door will appear.
Right click on cassette tape again. Then again left click on play.
The doorknob will drop off, and the door will open.

I'd love to hear others...

You don't need the tape. You can get out with just the CD case or the URL note. Right click and play, and after the movie plays (you don't have to wait for the end, actually), right click on the wall and play, which brings you to the door knob and then right click and play again.

The game reminds me of a game I used to play on the old Apple IIe, called Destiny. It was pretty cool at the time. What nerds.
