Ipad/Tablets or Notebook

I"m still waiting for microsoft to release an operating system for a tablet, i think its bullshit i can't run any excel macros programs let alone any windows software on any tablet devices, what the hell is msft waiting for they royally fucked that up.

I purchased a tablet (Toshiba Thrive) recently and it is great for simple web browsing and checking email. But for trading, get a notebook or small laptop with a physical keyboard. Different tools for different purposes.

It seems the notebook/laptop seems to be the answer, now out of all the ones, which ones will be suitable for doing part time trading?
The choice of brand is a bit more subjective. My preference is to get a Dell with a 3-year extended warranty.

I like the new Asus EEE Pad Transformer but would prefer that it came with Windows 7/8.

It's using Android Honeycomb which means you don't get Excel/ActiveX/DDE capabilities.

I strongly advise that your trading laptop/netbook runs Windows 7/8. Your software choices will be severely limited with any other OS platform.
