No......."net" short holders are running the profile in a LOW VOLUME AH session environment......this is how they BUILD there positions and improve cost basis. As you can see, they sold right as the price returned to that upper price delta zone I had mentioned before......the one formed just after the news release the other morning. 953.50 to 957.50 :)

They pulled off running price through they range (in a very low volume environment) while not at all putting all their held "net" short inventory at risk..........now once they completed that improvement of the cost basis of their core holdings they drive price away and put their position well into the money again. :)

. . . thank you for that context, hmm, very clever of them, sneaky, but clever . . .

AMT,

Great explanation. Is it possible that commercials use low volume AH sessions to cover their shorts and improve their net short positions from a cost basis? I thought AH sessions aren't traded by commercials and usually is just smaller traders...

Thanks,
I have said here in previous posts the AH sessions CAN GET WILD when this type of huge net SHORT (or a net LONG) position is building and being "managed".......our current trading these past days has been fully affected by this position management taking place (prior to a most likely "rug pulling" day ahead). :)

Good luck today guys. Market is relentless in its bullishness!

The last pane is $tick which some experineced traders find useful........ I am still working on what to look for :D

They have almost no opposition to their order flow in the AH session, so this is a smart way to manipulte the overall situation to their advantage imo.

So they creep it up on low volume so they can hammer it with lots of volume during RTH....distribution day?

Probe to the 5 day unfair high...REJECTED!

Guys: you tasted some of my trades. But I cannot continue posting as I do not want AMT to get mad at me! So I will step to the side. I may even have a question for AMT if he can still talk to an enemy :-) .It is an honest question to know some information.
This is an OPEN thread....there are no restrictions to questions. BTW, you are not the enemy, but you do misunderstand different events discussed here....or you seem confused as to which direction we are talking about trading.

They can let go of some inventory from lower levels in this type of move as they then add volume at higher pricing levels.

If my spelling gets weird today just ignore it.....I was up almost all night last night......finally got some sleep from about 07:30 to 09:00 cst. this morning. :)

I use the 5 minute chart for the ES with occasional looks at the 15 min/60 min/ and the Daily throughout the day. I use the T&S and the volume window (5 min bars w/10 MA) as a big part of my trading. I try to get a feel for what is taking place during the trading day. I am a discretionary trader that uses good basic T/A with the following indicators; MACD (12,26,9) RSI (14) S/R levels Market Price action (Dow/Nasdaq/S&P/TICK/TRIN). I draw TONS of lines on my screen all day (trendlines) on the 5 min chart and on my MACD and RSI. I also use Japanese Candlestick patterns to help with entry and exits. Hope this helps!

TTYL!

That is a huge amount of conflicting information requiring applied priorities, given that everything is correct when it is correct and wrong the other 50% of the time.

Congratulations for working your way through the minefield man.
You must be a very very rich guy by now.

PS. Were you awake all night counting your profits
