Do any NinjaTrader users here experience freezing of the platform while placing trades? Maybe it's time I get a new computer. It's causing slippage on every order I place.
I have good Intel chip boxes running XP Pro only and I have no problems ever with NT.

I've got a Dell Deminsion 8300 running XP Home, with 2 gigs RAM, and Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHz.

Think I need more?

If so, is it something I can just upgrade on this computer or do I need an entire new system?

Pentium4 is old technology... It's pretty close to the Athlon 64 I had that didn't cut it.

You're likely to need an array of new equipment...

New Power Supply to drive a New Motherboard & New CPU. Your New motherboard probably takes a different kind of Ram Chip,, DDR2 or DDR3...

Then your old AGP video card probably wont work in the new motherboard that only takes PCIExpress.

In short... it's time to buy a whole new computer.

That's all I needed to hear. I figured my computer was outdated. I heard the Dell T3400 was a great trading rig.

Anyways, back on topic!!! 910-913 here we come!
