Actually Obama is the first national candidate in our lifetimes to write a fair amount of his own speeches. If he's elected that will of course change. Campaign speeches are generally the same spiel at every stop hence the speech Obama gave at the DNC is akin to a composite-or greatest hits-of his catalog. It's also a reason why his speeches are more rhetorical than well researched factoids of policy.

Yep, the last 8 years had nothing to do with where the U.S. is at now.
McCain's negativity is feeding into his image as stubborn and rigid.
None of those qualities are desirable right now in the eyes of the American Public.
I think we're at an odd place where negative attack ads won't be fruitful (when they typically are).
People want to hear substance and reasons for voting for someone, not negativity and reasons to vote against another.

The problem with negative attack ads imo,particularly McCain's,is that in todays world and media lies are quickly and easily exposed
Fact check,CNN , Msnbc as well as obamas own website quickly exposes McCain's Ads as full of lies and bullshit and it hurts him far more then it helps imo
