Intraday Trend Following

REAL GREAT TRADING IS NOT ABOUT OBVIOUS THINGS LIKE TRENDS chop support resistance pivots indicators moving average Bollinger bands......

it is about far more subtle things.....how does a trend turn into a channel and how a channel turns into a reversal....
this is were your focus as trader should be because unless you know what happens when a trend transforms into something else,
how are you going to be able to trade a trend from start to finish......
that is what I am saying

I believe channels are a self fulfilling prophecy in a collection of random data points.

Do you have a logical reason why they form? Is a channel what a bell curve distribution looks like over time?

well why did you not talk about this channels earlier?

next day I reached my destination.
stick with it you will succeed.
try to change your way of thinking....clean your mind of all the books you have read. books are necessary till a point: you have to learn the rubbish then clean the rubbish and start fresh

I understand what channels are but don’t think there’s an edge in trading them. Can you explain WHY they form in terms of market structure?

because the two sided price action is increasing.in a trend it is only mainly one side bull or bear.

when the other side becomes more active a channel is formed


in a channel both bears and bulls are active.....

Ok I can live with that - they are a continuation of the bid-ask spread. I still don’t find a lot of value in them. There’s no basis for using time to make a trade determination because the angle can be manipulated by time compression.

I'm proftable currently, already there, just got to stay there.

Books, LOL I have NEVER and I mean NEVER read a book in my adult life, hate reading books, books are for children not adults and never will, so that's not an issue.

I really envy you......
I have, I think, read every book ever printed.
but maybe if you start from the beginning as if you are a novice and work through your method your ideas anew it would help.
thinking for yourself will get you there....do not get frustrated and jump off your transport before you reach your destination. that can be injurious
