I wonder with todays down move and the VIX going back to 50, if they might wait a few more days before making this official.. and then not do it if the market continues lower..

Seeing as the $500 intraday margin brokers all survived and actually increased their clients, IB should abolish the practice of intraday margin suspension.
It served no purpose other than to provide a theoretical sense of security and has been proven unnecessary.
There was talk about the possibity of a black swan event blowing out other traders and therefore affecting other accounts...

Im not getting intra day margin on 6E today, normally during european hours IB give intra day margin on EUR futures...
They should change their margins by the day or the week, not the month. Otherwise it has no use at all.
